I’m building What Remains, a persistent multiplayer browser game set in a post-nuclear world. You start with worn clothes, a little cash, and no weapon. From there, it’s up to you to scavenge supplies, find better gear, and figure out how you want to survive.

Everyone shares a trainyard Compound. Players contribute cash and materials to improve its Workshop, Armoury, Infirmary, and other buildings, and everyone benefits from those upgrades. Bandits can damage what you’ve built, so keeping the place standing takes some work.

Outside the Compound, you can take on Jobs, raid bandit stashes, recover vehicles, and travel across four territories. Craft weapons and supplies, find blueprints, and put talent points into Scavenging, Craftsmanship, or Survival. Adventures have choices that carry forward, and Expeditions let you team up with other players to tackle bigger jobs.
You can join or start a Crew, trade with other survivors, own businesses, or get involved in bounties and player combat. There’s room to help each other out, but there’s also room to make enemies.

Death is permanent. You lose your survivor’s gear, cash, and progress, but the work you put into the shared Compound stays behind.

It’s currently in beta, and I’m actively working on it. If you enjoy browser games with progression, a shared community, and something at stake, come give it a try.
